Alvor River

Alvor river is actually a estuary located in western Algarve, four small creeks flow to form it. It's a renowned place by tourists because of it's amazing beaches. There are numerous walkpaths one can access in order to observe a great variety of wild animals and plants.

The tides have strong influence making it impossible to navigate to some areas during low tide. By SUP one can reach practically everywhere. Locals seek it in order to gather clams and other seafood kinds. Seabass and Mullet can be targeted here, if you wade you'll find places with less than 50cm water!
