It's a new dawn, it's a new day, it's a new life!
When I arrive to the spot I see fish everywhere, even in places you can at first sight see no water. Gear up, move closer, hundreds, probably thousands of fish surround you. It's mating season.
Female carp become larger due to the eggs they carry and may lay over one million eggs. You will see male bumping aggressively into females. It's an amazing thing to be seen.
After the eggs are laied, a process starts until a new carp is out there. Many eggs will be eaten by predators (carp included) but many will grow to become this amazing fish we have the pleasure to cast to on the fly!
During spawning season you'll see many fish around you, don't disturb them. It is a vital process to a healthy reproduction of this beautiful fish.
Move onwards and search for feeding fish, then cast your fly!
